Recycling Workshop (Prentice Place)

The workshop is set up to repair and renovate donated furniture as well as building a range of items of garden furniture and equipment using recycled materials, such as reclaimed wood.

This facility also offers training opportunities in skills such as joinery and upholstery to our many volunteers, trainee placements and clients.

The workshop is an NVQ assessment sub centre and much of our training will be accredited to a nationally recognised qualification.

At Prentice Place we work in partnership with the Essex Probation Service for some of the week, pooling our resources and skills to maximise the opportunities that the workshop will provide for the benefit of the local community.
